  The brother of late Bimbo Ogbonna, wife of auto dealer, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, has said his family members did everything possible to keep Bimbo away from IK but she kept on going back to him.   While responding to comments on his Instagram page, Oyindamola said it all started when an 18-year-old Bimbo met Ikechukwu. He said she had given Ikechukwu all her school fees and eventually dropped out of school. He further stated that after several failed warnings for them to stop seeing each other, Bimbo's family took her to Abuja to live.   The Katsina State Police Command says they arrested no fewer than 1,503 suspected criminals, killed 27 bandits and had 1,116 suspects facing trial within the last eight months in the state. The Command further noted that it rescued 393 victims of kidnap within the same period under review.   Famous Nigerian comedian and actor, Bright Okpocha, popularly known by his stage name as Basketmouth, has questioned the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa over the low chance of conviction for politically exposed persons in the country. This is following the two recent protest by the youths in Warri area of Delta State and that of Ibadan over unwarranted arrest and extortion by the anti-graft agency without any links to cybercrime. Responding to the actions, Bawa noted that the exercise will not stop the agency from arresting anyone causing or promoting fraud in the country.   The University of Lagos (UNILAG) on Friday, October 7, got a new vice-chancellor in the person of Prof Folasade Ogunsola. Mrs. Ogunsola is a professor of microbiology at the College of Medicine in UNILAG, THE NATION news gathered She happens to be the first  female vice-chancellor of the school since its establishment in 1962, two years after Nigeria gained independence Vanguard reports that Ogunsola who has served in the institution in various capacities is the daughter of the late renowned geographer, Prof. Akin Mabogunje.
